The boxes collect nothing. A Scare Box has no account, no cloud connection, and no way to reach the internet. It never sends us anything, because it can't.
The MP3 maker uploads nothing. Recording and converting happen inside your browser. Your audio never touches a server of ours.
The website is where data exists at all — if you buy something or sign up for email. That's what the rest of this page is about.
Scare Box is a product of AI Creations LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. Reach us at support@scare-box.com or by mail at 12849 Galveston Ct MB #110, Manassas, VA 20112.
Checkout is handled by Stripe. Your card number goes to Stripe and never passes through our servers — we don't see it, store it, or have any way to retrieve it.
What we do receive and store: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address, what you ordered, the amount, and Stripe's identifiers for the transaction. We keep it to ship your order, email you a receipt, handle returns, and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
Your email address and the date you signed up. Nothing else. We use it to send occasional product news. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes the address.
Nothing. Recording, converting, trimming, and exporting all run in your browser using your device's own processor. No audio file is transmitted to us or to anyone else. If your browser asks for microphone permission, that's the recorder — the audio goes to a buffer in the page and is gone when you close the tab.
Our content delivery network records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type — as a normal part of serving a website securely. We use it for security and reliability, not to build a profile of you.
We run no advertising trackers, no analytics pixels, and no cross-site tracking. We set no cookies of our own. Stripe may set cookies during checkout for fraud prevention; that's covered by Stripe's own policy.
We use a small number of services to run the business. Each one receives only what it needs:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We'd disclose information if legally compelled to, and we'd tell you unless prohibited.
Worth stating plainly, because it's unusual: the Scare Box has no internet connectivity of any kind. The boxes form their own private radio link with each other. The control panel is served by the box itself over its own Wi-Fi. There is no telemetry, no usage reporting, no firmware phone-home, and no account tied to any box.
The motion sensor detects heat and movement in front of it. It does not record, photograph, or store anything — it's a switch, not a camera. There is no microphone in the box.
Sound files you load onto a box live on that box. We never see them.
Email support@scare-box.com and a human handles it. You can ask us to send you a copy of what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it. Deletion has one limit: we have to keep records of completed transactions for tax purposes, so we can remove you from marketing entirely but not erase an order that happened.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR. We extend the same handling to everyone regardless of location, so the request process above is the whole process. If we ever deny a request, we'll explain why and how to appeal.
This site is meant for adults making a purchase. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
The site is served over HTTPS only. Order data is encrypted at rest. Payment credentials never reach our systems. That said, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise.
If we change this policy we'll update the effective date at the top. Material changes that affect how we handle information already collected will be announced by email to anyone on our list.
